Kinky or Vanilla asks one question and refuses to let you answer it directly. Ninety challenge and question cards send your pawn down one of three lettered paths — a, b or c — winding around the board, and it’s the shape of your route that actually answers the question. Reach the end quickly on a short, straight run and you land closer to purely Kinky or purely Vanilla; take the long, winding path and your tastes turn out to sit somewhere in the middle.
Nobody gets steamrolled into anything. Every challenge card can be played for real or simply read aloud and pictured instead, and it’s always the less adventurous partner who makes that call, card by card. Once both pawns land on the board’s Kinky or Vanilla endpoint, you compare routes and find out how closely your flavours actually match.
